A baffle is welded in and there are separate hatch lids for each compartment, one for the Fishing Livewell and one for the Bait Well, the other Livewell or Dry Storage Unit.

 

The Live Bait Well portion has rounded corners on the insided to provide proper water circulation and keeps your bait from nosing up in or bumping into the corners. (This is an important feature).
